Gala Dinner
Tuesday 7th November
Ticket included in Full Registration, Presenting Author and Young Member fees
Time: 6.30pm
Venue: Hōro ā-Tāone o Tāmaki Makaurau | Auckland Town Hall
There’s no better way to celebrate a conference than at the Conference Gala Dinner. The stage is set, and we have a fantastic night of great NZ cuisine, wine and entertainment lined up.
We are excited to have secured one of New Zealand’s most important heritage buildings, Hōro ā-Tāone o Tāmaki Makaurau | Auckland Town Hall which is just a few steps from the Conference venue, Te Pokapū | Aotea Centre. It is a stunning backdrop for the Gala Dinner with its attractive stained-glass windows, ornate plasterwork and spectacular chandeliers. A truly spectacular place to celebrate.
Dinner will shine a light on three of our four themes Hononga – Relationships, Tiakia – Guardianship and Anamata – Future and will be woven through every detail of the evening. Executive Chef Richard Ross has hand crafted a meal that respects the provenance of ingredients, the tradition of foraging, sustainability of our growers and the deliciousness of flavours and textures. Delivering the home-grown taste of Aotearoa from our paddocks, waters, gardens and vineyards to our dining room.
New Zealand entertainer, Ben Hurley will be leading you through the evening as MC and you can sit back and enjoy music from Dixon Nacey and Roger Mannins ensemble with NZ’s finest contemporary jazz musicians. Finally, DJ Mel wraps up the evening during our après dinner mix and mingle. A perfect way to network in a fun and relaxed environment.
